Sponsors for visitor's visa

Hi,

We are applying for a visitor visa for my mother-in-law. My husband doesn't have enough balance in his account, however i do. Which way is better to sponsor my MIL:
1. Both of us together OR
2. Should I do it alone.

If both of us sponsor her, should we be sending both our documents.

assume both of u are working? If u have joint acct, u can show that on I134.
Whoever has salary/bank balance more should sponsor.

Thanks for the response. Are there any disadvantages to both of us sponsoring her. Even if we do, do we have to submit all the documents belonging to both of us (employement letter, birth certificates etc)
