Correction to submitted DS-156/157

If a correction is required to an already submitted DS-156/157 forms, can we do it?

If I cancel the appointment, will it let me to add phone number to DS-157? Then probably I can reschedule it.

I haven't done it before, but need advice if someone was successful doing that. Thanks.

You can modify the saved application as many times as you want. But there are only certain fields which you cannot modify for example "Name of the applicant and his/her dob". The appointment time and date remains the same.
