  • Administrative processing

    Hi
I am Indian citizen in china on Visitor visa.
I have applied at US consulate at Shanghai for B1 visa.
Since more than two months it is under "Administrative processing".
Also, my intended date of travel to US has already passed. But I may need to go to US after three months.

Can anybody tell, how much more time it can take ?
Has anybody got visa, after spending more than two months in ""Administrative processing" ?

Is there any particular reason that you have applied for US visitor visa from China instead of India? This might be the reason your file is under administrative processing. Sometime it takes 3-6 mons also.

H1B petition was sent to USCIS for review. Is it possible to transfer my H1 now?

I applied H1B with the new employer while was in L1 status in US during 2015. After the pettion was approved, moved out of US. During my visa stamping (in Oct 2015) was given 221G form (Blue form with Administrative processing was selected). After 6 months, received refusal notification stating that my petition was sent to USCIS for review and also requested my employer to respond within a year. When i checked my petition in USCIS site, it was under review. Now got a new job offer from other employer and he is ready to do H1 transfer. Is it advisable to transfer my H1 with new employer? If applied for H1 transfer, what is the possibility of getting this petition and visa approved? Please share your thoughts.
