I was planning to attend Google Chrome Dev summit with four of my colleagues. I had a B2 visa interview on 1st Nov and got rejected. The interviewer didn't ask me for any document other than my passport. She asked me the following questions:
Q. Where are you travelling to in US?
A. San Fransisco and other parts of california.
Q. Whats the purpose of your visit?
A. I am attending Google Chrome Dev Summit and thereafter planning to visit Yosemit and The Grand Canyon.
Q. Which company are you working for and does it deal in?
A. Housing.com. It deals in buying and selling of Real Estate.
Q. How long have you been working?
A. For over an year
Q. What's your salary?
A. Its Rs. 16.8 lakhs annually.
After this she said "I am sorry but you couldn't show why you're visiting US and you've been working for only an year. I can't approve your Visa". After that she handed over the rejection letter.
All the other four colleagues of mine got their Visa approved the very same day. Now I am thinking of reapplying buy I am a little worried and need answers to the following queries?
1. What could be the possible reason for rejection?
2. If I reapply will I be required to schedule OFC appointment again?
