Tourist Visa (B2) Rejected - Hyderabad Consulate

Hi Folks,

Yesterday my MIL went for her visa interview and the visa officer asked only two questions. she answered for these questions and the visa officer rejected her visa. Did not asked for any documents.

1. Whom you are Visiting?
2. How many children do you have?

Don't know why they rejected her visa, I am planning to schedule an appointment again, any suggestions would be appreciated.

You have not provided enough information about your wife's family. Like she is the only child, she has siblings or all the sibling in US. What about your fil? It looks like from the text of interview provided by you, it seems it was a case of your mil's lack of ties to India.

You can re apply immediately but reapplying too soon shows signs of desperation and hence possibility of another rejection.

My wife has 5 siblings, 4 are living in India and my wife is in US. My FIL couldn't attend the interview due to delay in the passport application.
