how long can you stay in US after visa is approved

Hi,

I just got my b1b2 visa approved for 10 years just last week. During the interview , when asked how long do you intend to stay in USA I said 3 weeks.
However now I think I can get 3-4 weeks extra leave and can mange to stay for 6-7 weeks.
Does it matter what I say in the interview ? Or it is all recorded and I should not stay for more than 3 weeks as mentioned in the Visa Interview for my first US trip ?

Your time allowed in the next visit to U.S. will be determined when you arrive at the Port of Entry. Request a longer stay if the officer at the POE is only prepared to give you two weeks.

I visited US last yr, actually it wont matter how long you said in the interview on your exact stay but it depends on the Immigration officer how long he will give you it can be 3wks or longer as 6mos but you need to have a back&forth plane ticket coz they need to know how long you will stay there. For me I only stayed there for 1month but the officer grant me a 6month stay, unfortunately i can only stay for a month coz its the leave i had from my work. So if they give you 6mos just rebooked you flight 😄😄😄
