ESTA and B2 Visa Application

Hi,

I currently have an ESTA which is valid for a considerable time yet.

I have completed but not yet filed an application for a B2 visa.

My concern is, in the event that my application for a B2 Visa is rejected how does this affect the validity of my ESTA? Will the ESTA then become void?

I am a UK citizen living in Scotland.

Grateful for thoughts on this point.

Is there any reason you are applying for B2 visa even though you have valid ESTA?

Your ESTA remains valid, even though your visa denied but you could be asked about your B2 denial at the POE.

I would like to visit US for more than the continuous 90 days permitted by ESTA.

My concern is if a B2 is denied does that invalidate my ESTA. That was the concern which stop tand think before filing the B2 application.

You think there could be questions at POE if a B2 was denied. What questions could be asked?

Please forgive my naiveity but I am an honest guy just trying to do the right thig.
