  • Appointment & DS-157 Question

Would be sponsoring parents-in-law soon. They will go to New Delhi for visa. Any insights to questions below is greatly appreciated.

    1. For Mother IL and Father IL do I need separate appointments or is it possible to get and use a single appointment for both?

    2. They are both above age 45, do they still need DS-157? Has it become mandatory for ladies too these days?

    Thanks!

u can schedule appt together for both. On the VFs site after adding info. abt one applicant, u will get option to add another applicant to the same slot.

U have to fill DS156 and DS 157 (in that order) for both irrespective of age.

      Thanks - another clarification

Believe we have to fill DS-156 and DS-157 online. Question is:

      1. For joint appointment for MIL and FIL, once you fill DS-156 and DS-157 for one applicant you fill for the second applicant. Is this correct? Or do we have to fill DS-156 for both applicant first and then DS-157?

      2. Since we are required to fill DS-156 and DS-157 online, are we required to print those as hardcopy as well and take it to the Embassy? Believe that's the case as they require photograph too. Please confirm.

      Thanks again for any insights,
