  • Visitors Visa for my Sister in Law

    Hi Everyone,

We are expecting a baby in few weeks and my sister in law want to apply for a visitors visa ( Wife's sister) to visit us. She is living in India with her kids and her husband works in UK as a doctor so we donot have to sponsor for her trip . My wife is on H1B visa and she is working as a FT employee here, If she sent her sister an Invitation letter stating to come and visit our new born baby, will it be a problem at the embassy ?

    Please suggest.

    Regards,
    Dinesh.

May be. Visit newborn baby will not create any issue but most likely visa officer will think that she is going there to help her with newborn baby.

    Please read article below,
Tourist Visa for Helping with the Pregnancy of a Daughter/Daughter-in-Law/Sister while visiting the US on a visitor visa.
