  • B2 Visitor Visa

My cousin (who is very close friend of mine and my family) want to visit us and applied for visiting visa and the same got rejected by American consulate. She studied with me throughout her schooling in same class. We are quite disappointed for her visa rejection and we want her to come here to visit as we are not able to travel back India for some time due to my workload. We strongly want her to visit us. She has a strong desire to come here to visit our family as well wants to visit this country.

The reason for rejection that they specified in 214(b) document is you have not demonstrated that you will you have the ties that will compel you to return to your home country after your travel to the United States. She has 2 kids and an apartment and other properties also registered on her name in India and the reason that they specified seems to be bit odd. They didn't ask any document and reason specified is how come we believe that you will come back to India.

We have lot of funds in my bank account here and ready to sponsor her to come here and we assure her safe return to India after vacation. Please suggest us how can we overcome this situation and avoid these kind of rejections and what kind of necessary documentation required. By the way last time when she visited the consulate they didn't ask for any documents which she carried with her.

Long post but no facts to even assess what went wrong. What is her occupation? is she married? Did she apply for visa alone or with kids? How long did she mention her visit would be to US? What questions were asked and what were her replies?

Time gap between two trips -B1/B2

      Hi all,
I've been to the US for a month to give my exams in November. I need to go back in February to give another exam. So is it fine, if I could go there within 2 months gap or is it necessary to keep 6 months gap between 2 trips.

You can go back but do not use back to back trips to stay for a long time in US because it shows misuse of tourist visa and they can cancel it.
