  • B2 Visa - Question

    Hi everyone.

I want to seek out advice regarding my brother's application for B2 visa.

    His profile:
    23 years old
    Chef de Partie
has travelled in Saudi Arabia (family working here) and in Bahrain (previous work) in the last 5 years
average monthly salary is about $720.00
purpose of travel: tour and training at CIA NY

I already enrolled him for a Bootcamp Training in CIA New York. He has been denied last week when the consul asked if the hotel where he is working on will sponsor his trip. He said no. But actually the hotel where he is working on will provide free accommodation in the same hotel in New York and also airline trip will be paid as his trip will be equivalent to his annual vacation. Maybe he was thinking differently that is why my brother replied no, when asked if the hotel will sponsor his trip. I would like to him to re-apply. My questions are:

    1. Is it correct that he will apply for B2 Visa with the enrollment confirmation from CIA for a 5-day bootcamp training? Or should he opt for B1/B2?
    2. Should he declare that his trip will be sponsored by my father in order to turn the focus away from his very low salary since in truth, my father and I will be splitting all his expenses for his training?
    3. Would it help if he will declare in the DS-160 form that he will be travelling with me and my father since we are also set for an interview for US Tourist Visa next week but here in Riyadh. My brother is in Qatar.
    4. Should he re-apply with the same information as before that he will shoulder his expenses but when asked, he will explain that accommodation and plane ticket will be shouldered by the hotel where he is working on?

Thank you so much for all those who will help.

    Thanks.

    1. Either way, it is the same thing.
    2. Tell the truth.
    3. Again, tell the truth only. Don't try to manipulate.
    4. Again, tell the truth.
