I came from Mexico and at the Dallas airport the "border guard" asked me why I did not have a return flight ticket to Mexico. I told him I usually just buy one shortly before I leave the USA and also told him that I was currently pregnant. The guard responded by saying I had to leave the USA after 1 month and he then restricted me from coming back to the USA for 1 year. I am trying to find what terms exactly were imposed on me... Can someone point me in the direction as to who I can contact to get the terms of my "suspension". Thanks!!

It doesn't matter what they told you; for how long you can stay, it just matters what date you are admitted until on your I-94. And there is no such thing as a "suspension"; whether you are admitted on a future visit is decided by the officer you get at that time, but if there is something he entered into the system it may influence a future officer's decision.Last edited by newacct; 01-23-2017, 03:02 PM.
This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

The border guard probably thought you trying to come into the US to illegally have your baby. Therefore, he limited your stay in order to ensure you went home to have your child. You have been flagged by immigration and will likely be denied entry for a year. Heed what the officer told you.
You may want to hire an attorney to look into this for you. One option is to file a FOIA request or setup an infopass appointment with the USCIS.
