Visitor Visa for parents

I wanted to take a visa date for my parents using the online system. I have heard that they generaly interview couples together.
Is there any special way to apply for a date in their case? Also is it possible to give the interview separately?

Parents don't have to be apply together particularly if they are not travelling on the same time.
