  • Scanned Documents or Original

    Hello,
I am sponsoring my parent's visitor visa, I have sent them some original documents (My employer's letter and bank's letter) as mentioned. All other documents I just scanned and emailed for them to print out. Is it okay to send scanned copies of documents such as I-134 , invitation letter, consulate letter that has my signature ? or I need to send original documents for visa interview ?
I will appreciate if some one can provide the information .
    Thanks.

The I-134, which should have your original signature, must be an original document, not a copy.

Other supporting documents, excepting those with signatures, can be good quality scans or photocopies. Don't do Smart Phone scans, as they print out crappy.

        Why do you think so?

It says Affidavit of support can be scanned copy!

I had not seen that citation, thx for sharing. You may find that NVC or Embassy staff might still reject a copied signature, anyway.

But the original subject was about form I-134, not I-864. The I-134 is used for nonimmigrant (includng K1) processing at the Consulate post, and there is no reason to beiieve that the citation you provided (below) also addresses the I-134.

Do I need to notarize photo copy of my passport and naturalization certificate

              Hello,
I had a related question about copied documents. I am sending my parents photo copy of my US passport and naturalization certificate for their visitor visa interview. Do I need to notarize these photo copies. I will appreciate some quick response.

              Thanks
              AN.

Don't notarize the copies. It's not necessary, and the Naturalization cert cannot be legally notarized except by a licensed U.S.-based attorney. It's just overkill.
