1. (to my Sis) You are doing a Ph.D ?
Sis: Yes.

2. (to my Sis) what area ?
Sis: Sociology

3. (to my Sis) What does your brother do ?
Sis: He is a **** ** at a company called **** *

4. (to my Sis) How did he come to the US and get a Green card ?
Sis: He came on a H1 and then his company sponsored his GC.
(this was actually incorrect since I originally came on a F1)

5. (to my Sis) Show me copies of his passport.
Sis: Presented copies of my passport.
(He just skimmed through the various pages)

6. (to my BIL) Where do you work ?
BIL: **** Bank

7. (to my BIL) What designation ?
BIL: Financial Advisor

8. (to my BIL) How do you plan to pay for the trip ?
BIL: My brother-in-law is sponsoring the trip and is going to pay for everything.

9. (to my Sis) How did you get married ?
Sis: We met in college.

10. (to my Sis) Was it an arranged marriage ?
Sis: No, it was a love marriage.

11. (to my Sis) Didn't your parents object to it ?
Sis: No, both parents were completely ok with it.

12. (to my Sis) Ok, visa is granted, you'll get the passports within 3 days !

Can I know how old is your Sister and BIL

My Sis and BIL are in their early 30s and their kid is 2 years old. Frankly I had half expected them not to get the visas since they are a young couple and the whole family is trying to visit.

I guess things are changing for the better. Looks like the genuine cases are being given more time and consideration.
