I have a B2 visa that's expiring on April 30th, I applied for an extension with an appointment on April 19th, but then realized that I can travel to the US in April without asking for an extension even if I'm returning after April 30th. So my question is can I push my appointment to June and still travel in April since my visa is still valid? Or does just filling up the application online, automatically void the visa? Also is the fact that my visa is expiring on April 30th something that the immigration officer will take into account on how long he'll allow me to stay in the US? I understand that the I94 determines how long I'll stay in the US, but if there's any risk that that will reduce the number of days I get to stay, I would rather just extend my visa. Anyone with any kind of suggestions/experience with this kind of situation, please respond as soon as you can.
