Urgent - Sponsor Visa Valid Date - Help Needed

Hi,

My parents are having the visa interview scheduled at Chennai consulate on Apr-27-2006.

I have a valid visa which is valid till June-22-2006. I have applied for Visa extension through my company but still not received the Receipt number for Visa extension. My company says that it will take further 15 business days to receive it from the USCIS.

Is the Receipt number is a mandatory document for my parents interview? As my visa is still valid, is there is chance for my parents to get long-term multiple entry visa? Or because of the visa expiry date is 2 months, will their visa expiry date will also be June-22?

Please clarify.

I don't think thats an issue here since ur visa is valid at the time of interview..

This is only the case with dependent visas like F1 and F2 and H1 and H4...
But visitor visa is not dependent on that... If the CO asks ask your parents to tell him that you are in the process of extending it 3 more years...
They usually dont create a big issue out of it!

As long as your visa status is valid at the time of their interview, they are fine.
