Assuming you re-entered unlawfully after being deported, you are now eligible to apply for "permission to reapply for admission" using Form I-212
If that is approved you can apply for a tourist visa. You'll have to overcome the presumption of immigrant intent. The hurdle for you is greater because of your history of immigration violations
Your children can also petition for you to obtain an immigrant visa, which is not suitable for short trips, but might be easier to get if you can not meet the tourist visa burden of nonimmigrant intent
There may be other obstacles arising from events you have not mentioned, eg criminal history or fraud

reentering
I reentered the USA after being deported in 2001.... for reentering the country after having been deported before and served time for an unlawful accusation and convicted on a drug crime as I once said unfairly charged. Was deported in 86 after serving 60 months and I reentered usa the following year 87... lived, worked... had two children and was found and charged with reentering..1998. served 36 months deported in 2001.... I am an European citizen, my daughter is 24 and is currently studying in USA. All I would like to do is to have a visiting visa to visit my daughter from time to time. I like to know where to start if there is a way for me to obtain my visa. I thank you in advanced for your help.
