MIL got visitor's visa - first attempt - chennai

My MIL got her visa in her first attempt at Chennai consulate on April 20th, 10:00AM.

Not sure of the duration yet, but she was hardly asked any questions. None of her documents were checked.

The only questions asked to her were:
1. Why are you going to the USA.
2. How many Children do you have.
3. Do you have anyone of them living in India
4. Why is your husband not accompanying you

She was asked for sponsor's documents, but before she could hand them over, the CO told her 'never mind... go to the next counter and pay your DD'.

Another interesting thing is the CO who interviewed my MIL was wearing a Burqah (Is she the famous 'BURQAH lady' that I have read so much about in this forum??? not sure)

Same here. My mom was interviewed on the same day (April 20th 11.00 AM)with this lady. My mom was about to show documents and she said never mind, go to counter1 and pay the fee.

My husband sponsored my MIL. He has his younger brother studying in India.
