  • Question on multiple visits during the same year for B2 visa

Hi, I have a question regarding my parent's future visits and I really appreciate if someone can help to answer.

I would like to invite my parents to visit us in Chicago during the Christmas for about a month from 12/2017 -1/2018, after that, my mom wants to come back around 03/2018 to accompany me during the last period towards my due date of giving birth.

She is holding a 10 years' B2 visa allowing multiple entrance. Will there be a problem that she enter U.S. for one month on 12/2017, and then enter U.S. again on 03/2018?. Is there anything that she need to keep in mind when entering the custom?

Any suggestion or comment is appreciated!

It's not advisable. Her frequent visit may raise some questions at the the port of entry.

If it's possible she can come in Feb and stay here for 3-4mons.
This is not a legal advice. Use at your own risk.

No issues. I had my mother in law coming and spending 1 month with us in September and January. No questions. Of course that she had the invitation letter since she doesn`t speak English. However I do see there are countries receiving more questions than others...visa refusal in my country is very low and denied entry is even more. Both visits she had 6 months stamp...but she was planning to stay only one month...she will never stay more than that anyway...even being retired, she likes her life so she will visit to see the grandchildren and that is all.
