  • travelling to US on B2 visa

    Hi,

I was issued a b1/b2 visa last year when I had to travel to USA for business purpose. Visa fee was paid by my company and they sent an invitation letter then.

now I want to make a personal visit to see my spouse who stays in Virginia. Can I personally travel on company issued b2 visa? are any documents required such as invitation letter even for b2 visas? If yes then should my husband send the letter or should my company be involved in anyway?

Can you please guide me for list of all documents needed and from whom? I have booked tickets already and worried if anything from my company is required.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    Hi,
From my understanding if you have b1/b2 on your visa multiple entry im sure you can , why dont u call there usa consolute in your country and find out.
If u only have b1 thats for business only. b2 is for holiday only.

So make sure u have the correct visa or else you might run into issues and booking and paying for a flight with out confirming can be risky as u might have the wrong visa and then you cannot get refunds for your flights.

This is NOT legal advise its just from what ive read , best to call in and check what the experts say.

    Regards

      Hey,

You can absolutely use you B1/B2 to travel to the US as long as the visa is not expired and your passport is valid. B1/B2 is a mixed visa type for business (e.g. conference), travel, or medical treatment.
