  • Father got visa-second Attempt!

    Hi Everyone,

My father got the visa today after getting rejected in March. Thanks to all for answering my questions. A big thanks to Immihelp for creating such a forum. The tips I got from here were very helpful. I do not yet know the questions asked, will post as soon as I find out.

              hi all

My father had interview at 9:30. He said the atmosphere was totally different than last time. His interviewer was a lady. She asked the following questions.

Why do you want to go to US?
              Where does you son-in-law do?
Tell me about your last two jobs?
How many people were in the organisation with you?
How many children do you have?
How many days do u want to go for? We had said four months
Then she said are u aware that u can stay for 6 months? My father said yes but i want to come back in 4 months.
Then she said Ok you Visa is approved !

My father also noticed that many people got visa. It was very quick and he was out by 10:45 unlike last time.

Hope this helps you all.. Good luck to all visa seekers.

              Smita

                Congratulations Smita!!
                Which consulate was this at?
What was different from last time and this time?
How many siblings you have in US and india...

My parents visa got rejected twice so am trying to get a few conclusions from the overall interviews...
Seemed like the VO lady was very polite and nice - its surely good luck to have a VO interview us!

Good luck and enjoy your Father's stay with you.

                  Hi Suco

This was at Mumbai consulate. Nothing was different in our situation except we asked for 4 months this time instead of 6 months. Yeah ,the VO also asked how many children you have? I forgot to put this earlier. I have a brother in India, he is unmarried. Definitely luck and VO are a major factor in getting the Visa. Like last time this time too they did not see any papers. Just the interview.
Hope this helps you. let me know if you want to know anything else.

Good luck with your parents. Hope they get the visa this time.
