My visitor visa got rejected. can i reapply with the changes
Hi friends,
I had applied for visitor visa (B2) and my visa got rejected under section214(b).
I wanted visit US for tourism and to visit my Wife and Brother In-law (my wife's brother), who both are working there.
My wife is having working visa (H1B) and the work permit expired and now she is under visa extension (upto March-2018).
My brother in-law is having H1B visa valid up to 2020.
In my DS-160 I had mentioned My Brother in-law as sponsor and did not mentioned my wife as a sponsor (Because of her visa under extension)
In my DS-160 I had mentioned my wife's address as my residential address (INDIA).
My visa interview went as follows...
VO: Where do you work?
Me: Replied with company name ( Am Govt. Employee, but i didn't mention as Govt. Emloyee by thinking i had mentioned it in DS-160).
VO: What is the Salary?
Me:Mentioned my annual package.
VO: What is the purpose of visit?
Me:Tourism and to visit my family
VO: Who stays there in US?
Me: My brother in-law ( I did not mention about my Wife)
VO: Are you going to meet your sister?
Me: No, He is my wife's brother and am going to visit him.
VO: how long you are going to stay there?
Me: 27 days(actually its 26 days, which i had mentioned in my DS-160 with dates)
VO: you said 27 days right?
Me: yes
VO: who is going to sponsor your trip?
Me: My brother in-law.
VO: Are you travelling alone?
Me: yes am travelling alone.
Then Visa officer said " this time we cannot qualify you for the visa under section 214(b)".
The visa officer didn't check any of the docs even i ad all the supporting docs ...
Now am in confusion that can i re apply for it by mentioning My Wife as Sponsor.
Where did my interview gone wrong and how can i come out of that to get my visa clearred.
Pls help for the needfull.
