Parents got visa in Chennai

Today, on election result day my parents got visa in chennai consulate. The appointment was scheduled at 3:45 PM and the entire process got completed in an hour.
Following were the questions asked in the interview
to my dad
Why do u want to go to us?
Where did you work prior to retirment?
How many years did you work in that bank?
What is that you are doing currently?
How is the current work?
To my Mom
How many children do you have?
Where is your first son working and for how many years?

This interview hardly took 10 mins.

Congrats!!!! Its a wonderful feeling isn't. My mom also got the visa on may 11th @ Chennai.

Yes it was. Infact following were the concerns I had prior to their interview

1. I came to US in Aug 2005 and my concern was, I have not completed 1 year in US

2. I had only IT returns of 2005 and bank statement for this period

3. I had a current balance of 10k however the average balance was only 4.5k

But none of these were questioned or were raised as concern.

My parents got the visa approved on 11th of May. Can anyone say when they will receive the passport. They are in Chennai. I read few discussion on bluedart, what is that? Should we collect it from bluedart office? Won't they deliver the passport to home. I have booked their ticket for next Friday 19th. Can some advice

It depends on what u have selected while scheduling appt. If u selected ur home address as the delivery address, u will get it at home. It takes 3-5 days..
