Getting visa is easier than getting appointment?

In the past 40 days I have been trying to get a VFS apppintment (State:Kerala Lang: Malayalam or Tamil) 2 to 6 times a day, no use. Once I was able to snatch a tamil appointment, entered the ds156/dsd157 there it goes – no appointment available(someone might have used it by then).

This morning I saw a malayalam appointment , went thru the “retrieve application” process and then got the message “no dates available’. But when I checked again for availability, the date was still showing available. This is so frustrating..


Question: When I do ‘retieve appliaction’, is the system trying to check date available in the local language of the state?. In that case, I assume I cannot book a tamil date even if it is available?

system does check the availablity of local language.

Keep checking. Some improvement measures are adding to the overall system enable applicants to book appointments more faster.

I guess in your case this might have happend. Are you trying to take appointment for both of ur parents? Availability screen might have showed you single slot. So when you actually went to confirm your appointment, it treat as 2 slots as you are trying to take appointment for 2 persons. I don't understand why this VFS system is treating joint application as 2 slots even though they appear for interiew together at the same time. In that case what you do is uncheck one person and try to take appointment for atleast one (if it is absolutely important for you). Hope you got it.

actually i am trying for my mother in law (Father in law passed away recently).

As visachief said, i will keep trying.

I am also planning to try writing some scripts that will take me upto the key entry of the image text so that i can avoid the several clicks (currently when i click the VFS favorite link, it shows some security certificate message, when i click that, another security message then the actual page. within the page, you need to make several other selections)
