Photos for visitor visa in Chennai

Hi,

My parants has the interview on May 25th and they wanted to take the photos in Chennai on May 24th evening.

Can anyone please tell me the name, address/location of the nearest photo studio from the consulate who are experts in taking the photos as per the Visa requirement.

Also, I was told there is a hotel just opposite to Chennai Consulate. Can anybody give its name. I hope it is good and economical. Please confirm !!

BTW: if they are from Hyd, I can suggest one photo studio

Thanks for the reply. We are not from Hyd. We stay near Guntur. My parents are taking photos from local photo studio but I am not sure if they will be accepted or not.

I read in another forum that someone's photos are not accepted and they took it again from nearest photo studio.

Would be appreciate if someone pass this information + hotel information

I found this info from other forums.. Thought someone would be interested..

Photo studios near the chennai consulate:

Foto India place -- recommended by lot of people (Foto India is at the intersection of Kodambakkam High Road and Nungambakkam High Road)

Konica colour lab -- opposite to Chola Sheraton
Apollo colour lab -- Appolo studio nearer to Lister labs
Premier Studios -- opposite to stella maris college.

2* hotels (just walkable distance to consulate):
1)Hotel Crystal Residency,
51/22, Model School Road, Off Mount
Road, Thousand Lights, Chennai-6.

2)The Palmgrove - 2 Star : Only a double room option is available (no single rooms) and the cottages of this hotel, which is a five-minute distance from the Consulate. There is no swimming pool but a TV is in every room and there are 2 vegetarian restaurants. Reach them at 91.44.2827.1881


If all you need is a room somewhere in the general 2 km radius around the Consulate, you also have the Nirmala Dakshin (91.44.2852.0545) near the LIC building on Anna Salai, or the Savera (91.44.2811.4700) on the Radhakrishnan Salai, or even the 4-Star President on the Kodambakkam High Road (91.44.2847.2211).

There are two hotels, walking distance to consulate

Hotel palm grove

there is another hotel called Arunachalam INN right next to hotel palm grove.

rooms cost 1500 rs to 1800 rs per night.

There is photo studio called Kodak opposite and slightly to the right of hotel.

From hotel they call walk to embassy ( 1km) or can take auto for Rs 10 or 15.
