Information needed for mom's interview

Hi,

First of all, thanks to all who have been replying to my questions regarding my mom's visa appointment, documentation etc.

My mom's visa appointment is in next month and I would appreciate if anyone can provide me any questions , tips or information during the interview that anyone has faced in a similar case.

1.She is a widow and a retired teacher.
2.I am the only child .
3. I havent been to India since 3.5yrs
4.The interview is in telugu at Chennai consulate.
I have read the topics about the Burkha lady at Chennai consulate in this forum and it is worrying me too much.

Please provide me any information that is useful .

Request for 3 months in the ds156,157.(Don't request for 6 months)
My mom is also widow she has government job but her visa rejected last time.I am applying for second time.
For your case it won't happen.
Tell your mom that she has lot of family and take some photographs.
If you mom have any dependents like your grand mom or some body that will be great(she can mention in the interview time).In the interview time tell your mom that she didn't see you from 3 years.Prove good finacial reposibility in india.Take notaryfrom lawyer with all your mom property in india.
This process is rediculous no body want to stay hear right? why they are rejecting visa's.

Thank you very much for your answers. I already put 4 months in DS156/157. Do you think this should be okay or should I change it? And yes, I already mentioned my mom to mention about my close cousins and take photos to the interview. She also took the notary regarding the india property.
But, will there be any negative affects in telling that she didnt see me in 3yrs?

I don't think that's a problem.That will be positive.

This visa process sucks some people are getting and some people are not.It's all depend on vo mood and our luck.
I heard from somebody that they are rejecting to collect more money.If your visa reject once you will apply again right 5000 rupees goes to ambessy.

Also, if i am correct, when sending docs to my mom, can I send copies of w-2s,paystubs,H-1docs and originals of bank letter and bank statements?

what else need to be originals?

Employer letter should be original.


You have to take i134 notary.

Also, regarding the Visa issuance fee of $50 (Rs.2300) , can we take the DD in any bank or only in designated HDFC banks ?
I booked the appointment via VFS.

Take DD from HDFC or SBI(Any national banks not corporate banks).
