Can parents return before expiry of prior I94 date within 3 months after 3 month stay

Parents came to visit us on September 14 and got I94 stamped for 6 months at March 13. They told the officer they are here for 3 months at that time. They returned as planned on December 13. Now we are planning to get them here again, this time for 6 months but they will be coming before the prior I94 stamped date of March 13. I have two questions

1. Will that create an issue that they returned before prior I94 expiry date. Will they give only till March 13 if they come in on Feb 25 for example?
2. If the above is not an issue, will they get a shorter stay this time since they are returning in less than 3 months ?

Please advise. This is critical as we are expecting in April 8 and early delivery puts us in March timeframe.

I-94 expiration date of the previous visit has nothing to do with the new visit.

The officer at the port of entry will decide how long will be allowed to stay the next time.

Thank you for your response. First part is clear now. For second part, is it advisable to delay the trip beyond March 13, so that there is atleast 3 months difference so that there is higher chance to get 6 months stay again this time?
