  • Options to reenter USA

    Hello all

I was in the USA since Jan 2007 and complete my masters and then subsequently transferred F1 to Hb after utilizing entire OPT of 27 months
Got my second term of H1B through another company and stayed in the USA for another 6 months but had to return to India due to personal reasons in Jan 2016

I now have a conditional job offer from a company in USA, need to know the options for filing my H1b staying here in India
Also how else can I enter USA on some other visa, since if I am am present in USA I will get a confirmed job offer from my employer

    Will appreciate your inputs

Job interview is an appropriate use of B-2 tourist visa

Of course, those visas are hard to get

      Thanks for your reply
I would really appreciate if you could elaborate further
From what I understand, you are suggesting going in for a visitor visa and then securing the job from my potential employer?

Perhaps, attend a couple of interviews, to make it worth your while. Then return home and wait for the employers who extend a job offer to file their petitions in the lottery. Then, pick a job among the lottery winners - if any - obtain a H visa from the consulate based on that approved petition, then travel to the United States to work

Makes sense, but since I already have my previous H1 approved would I still fall under the lottery, cant I utilize the remaining period from the 6 years of an H1?
