B2 visa renewal thru drop box, 221(g), mom called for interview

My parents did a drop box submission for B2 visa renewal. However my father got the visa and my mom was called for interview. We are now realizing that in DS 160 for my mother, spouse’s name has an extra “a” and this might be the reason for the interview. What should we do about the error in DS-160 and what documents should my mother take for interview?

I read that you can always update the DS-160 by creating a new one but in this case the DS-160 has already been looked up by the CO/VO and at interview time she will directly go to the consulate and not thru OFC.

Sometime, they just want to see if the person is alive & in good health. Just go ahead with interview.
