  • Supporting documents kept by the visa officer

    Hi Helpies,

I have a query and I really need your help with this.

I am USA B1/B2 visa holder and I have visited USA once. I was permitted 3 months stay and I came back after 2 months and 20 days. I also have canada visitors visa and have previous travel history to Hong kong, Malaysia, Singapore etc.

After I came back from USA, I tried to apply for my mother's visa but it was rejected (214b). I tried twice. Second time I filled in form that she wants to go with me to the US for tourism and they asked for copy of my VISA from her but she did not carry so could not present.

Then, third time I gave all my visa copies including Canada visa and all previous history (i.e. hong kong, malaysia, singapore etc.), but third time they also rejected her visa. She is single mother and my father is no more.

My main concern posting this thread is that last time visa officer kept a copy of my US VISA, though my mother's visa was rejected. I need your opinions regarding this that I am a bit worried about this act. Will it affect my future visits to USA? Why did they keep copy of my visa while my mother's visa was already rejected by VO?

It is been almost one year when I came back from USA.

Kindly suggest guys as I am planning to visit USA again in April 2018.

    Regards,

There is no way for anyone else to know why the officer kept the copy of your visa.

Sorry to say, but my experience says that he was willing to cancel your visa as well.

Your mother was only carrying copy of your visa, hence he kept it for his record. If she was carrying your original visa - it would be cancelled there itself.

But why? what could be the reason? All the documents were valid and genuine and I didn't overstay or commit anything wrong there ....

One of my friend's known person was called by embassy after one month of issuing visa and their visa was cancelled.

As I have not received any call or email from them, should I go ahead to visit in coming month?

and My canada visa be still valid to visit?

could somebody answer my all concerns please?
