Clarification about POE

Hi Guys,

I have a question.My mom will be traveling next week.she got 10 years multiple entry visa.My question is in port of entry mostly they will give 6 months.But in case if she gets 3 months visa,we have to file for extension for another 3 months.So it will affect the 10 years visa any time??

Normally they get 6 months. Extension surely will affect the visa if the extension gets rejected and ur mom overstays...
