Hello,
My aunt appeared for visitor visa interview last week and was given a green administrative form asking for previous passport.
Little background about the case.
My aunt visited US back in 1999 and overstayed for 4 years. Offcourse she was barred for 10 years but in those years, both her and husband got stable jobs in Pakistan and established a good travel history as well. They both visited Dubai, Turkey, Bangkok, London and Bangladesh for vacations and the jobs are still stable.
They wanted to visit us again and now after 15 years, they appeared for the interview, the officer was really kind and looked at all the documentation they provided, saw the travel history as well and they were also honest to the officer and told him the truth that 15 years ago they overstayed in US due to my uncle's health condition (he went through bypass surgery here in USA during that time).
They had no criminal record while they were here, no violations, no traffic violations at all. The officer gave them a green administrative processing form and asked them to show their previous passport which was used to enter Pakistan back in 2003, and she already contacted the consulate again and told them she is ready to present the old passport as well. Officer also kept their current passports while they present the old ones.
My question is that, in any of your experiences, reading the details above, what are their chances of getting a tourist visa again? Again, I'm just asking for opinions here
I'm a newbie.. please don't gang up on me
Thanks
