  • Mother visiting for birth of grandchild

I currently live in the midwest and have dual citizenship with Morocco and the United States. My wife is pregnant and her due date is in June. My mother and sister have both applied for a B2 tourist visa so they can be here for the birth of their granddaughter/niece respectively. They were both denied the visa and they weren't given much of a reason why except to say that the connection with my sister is not good enough (whatever that means). Can anyone give some advice on what to do? I want my family here when the baby comes. Thanks.

Inviting your family to help you/your spouse for child birth is treated like you are taking job of a nanny or care-taker - a well known reason for B2 visa rejection.
