Can I apply for second time visitor visa extension during the same visit ?

My parents came here on visitor Visa. After their arrival in USA, I was diagnosed with critical illness and going through treatments. Based on my initial treatment plan we applied for visa extension until May 20. I got an RFE. I send back all the requested information and requested visa extension until end of July 31 instead of May 20 , based on updated/current treatment plan. I provided treating physician's letter stating my illness and treatment is until end of July.

We received I -539 approval but only until May 20, which was the date in I539 application. USCIS officer may not have paid attention to our letter requesting extension until Jul 31.

I really need my parents assistance until end of July. I would like to extend their visa till end of July if there is any possibility.

Given their I-539 is approved until May 20, can I apply again for another extension ? If yes, can my parents stay beyond May 20 if decision is pending.

Is there any alternative visa to extend stay based on my medical grounds.

They can apply for second extension and stay while decision is pending.

There are no grounds for their stay extension based on your medical reasons.

Tourist visa extension should be applied for 'more tourism'.
