Parents visa

I am a widow working in the USA and my son who is 10years old is going to come with my parents.As everything here is new for him I need my parents' support intially for 6 months when he arrives.Also applied for visitor visa for my parents.My Mom can't stay alone as she is sick.I am worried whether my parents will get visa.

My question is can I apply visa for my mom first time showing that my father is in India and then after she arrives USA can I apply for my father showing that my mom is in India
