Parents got visa in Chennai an hour ago

Thought of sharing some info with you all. Just recieved a call from my parents who had the interview at 8.00 this morning. They were out at 9.30 or so. I am a GC holder and my mother had been here 20 years ago after her first rejection around 21 years ago.!
Both my dad and mom were interivewed by a pleasant lady VO according to them. Couple of questions that my parents were asked.
1. How long do you want to go
Dad: Had mentioned 4 months. She said she will grant 6 months (have to wait for the passport)
2. Dad is retired, mom does not work. So she asked him how much pension does you get?
Dad:xx Rs.
3. Asked my mom why she had not travelled for the last 20 years.
Mom: My sons were not there at that time (she has a brother who is here for a long time
4. My parents just returned after visiting my brother in UK for 9 weeks. So was asked some questions on that as well.
She asked my dad how long he wanted to visit. My dad mentioned as written in the application want to be there for 4 months. She said she will grant 6 months. Will have to wait for the passport. If it is only 6 months then it is the only bummer of the entire process.
According to them the whole process was very pleasant (unlike some that I have read here)
Had booked this appointment online in Jan. No translators asked/requested.
