My mother got visa

My mother got visa on Aug 31st at Chennai consulate.
She appeared for the interview alone in local landuage and my father has interview on Sep 6th.

APparently she got visa without much hassle.
The VO asked the following questions.

1.who is your sponsor
2. show the documents sent by your daughter (and they looked at my cover letter,i-134,bank letter,bank statements,payslips etc)
3. how many children you have and what do they do
4. Are you children staying in India are married (my brother and sister are married)
5. what does your husband do (my mother answered that he is retired).
6. Why didnt your husband accompany you.

We still dont know for how much period she got the visa.
She will collecting passport from VFS office hopefully tomorrow.

it depend

It should be depend on the officer, and what kind of visa does your mother have. Most people got it for at least ten years, but for the best you should call them and ask them.
