    Hi

My parents are applying for their visitor visa to the USA in Oct 2006. For the visitor docs, do they need to carry photocopies (1 for each) in addition to the originals for the following docs?

    - house document
    - Fixed Deposit document
    - bank passbook

    can someone please clarify?

    thanks

I asked my parents to carry one copy just in case.
Ideally the originals should be sufficient.

Originals are enough. But, my parents took a xerox of ALL the documents in a separete folder just in case. None were asked in the interview.

Copies of the passports are helpful. As passports will be couriered later, we don't want to take a chance of the passports missing in the courier. Hence, have them take copies of their passports to be on the safe side. Good luck!!
