Hello I came to US on visitor visa which will expire in Dec 2006.I want to marry a US citizen but I dont know how to go about it and for how long u have to stay in marriage.

If you are looking for someone just to marry you to get you the visa,
it is a risky business.
They will interview you both separately and together, many months after the marriage to see if the marriage is genuine or fraud.If ok, you will get
a 2 yr conditional green card. Some weeks before your 2nd anniversary, both of you will have to file to get the conditions removed and if successful you will get a perm. green card. If , after 2 years both of you do not file for removal of conditions on the green card, you will become deportable.
