  • Are paystubs really necessary for a sponsor ?

    Hello friends,

I am a recent grad and I have only recently started working with Texas Instruments but through a consultant as a contractor.....now I am able to manage a nice letter from my manager saying that I work for TI( ofcourse not mentioning that I am contractor) which I think should help a bit in VISA process for my parents but then my paystubs are from that contractor which I dont want to show......Aren't my bank statements enough to cut these pay stubs from the picture ?????????? Which wud contradict with my letter from TI manager ??? Friends, please help.

    Thanks
    Jigish.

You need to show the paystubs and the employment letter from the contractor company.

Don't try to show that you are an employee of TI when you are NOT. That could be a big trouble.

It does not matter whether you are working for a small or huge company.

It doesnt matter what company you work for... just as you got an employee verification letter from your manager at TI you should be able to get one from your account manager at your sub contracting company. They can look up you information and know that you dont work for TI so If I were you I wouldnt lie about working for TI.
As for the paystubs you do not need to send originals you can send photocopies...
If you have a good enough bank balance and a good enough salary to support your visitor... you shouldnt worry about the company... just send whatever is the correct document.

      good luck!

You don't have to work for a 'big' company to be a good sponsorer.

You need to get a letter from your employer. Also, you can attach pay stubs, W2s etc from your employer to support the argument that you are infact 'employed' and that you can pay for your parents expenses. The VO cares whether the sponsorer is working or not, doesn't care for which company he is working for.

Also, make sure to educate your parents of your employer's name. Most of the times parents know that their son/daughter works for TI, AT&T, Lucent etc and do not know the employer's name.

        Good luck!!
