Mentally Challenged kid

Hi,

My friend is sponsoring for B-2 visa for her parents. But they have a mentally challenged son to take care of. So what is the procedure for bringing along a mentally challenged kid along with them. Is there any additional documents required for this?

In addition to the regular paperwork for each person, they should take the proof of his mental status, such as report and/letter from the doctor/hospital.
