Birth Certificate of Visiting Parents

I want to bring my parents over to the US on a visitor visa. Under the required documents, I saw that the birth certficates of visitors are required only for children under the age of 14.

I have my birth certificate available. Under any circumstances, will they require my parents' birth certificates? They are both retired. They are going to the chennai consulate for their interview.
