Mumbai and Chennai embassy

I’m from Bangalore, Karnataka which falls under the southern region. I got my H1B visa from Mumbai consulate. Since my husband is from Mumbai, I didn’t have any problems.

I’m trying to get visitors visa for my parents(residing in Bangalore). Since I have my H1B approved from Mumbai embassy, can they go to Mumbai embassy? Or are they restricted to Chennai? There are no dates available in chennai
Where can I find rules regarding this?
