Couple of Doubts.

I have couple of doubts :

1. Is w2 form sufficient or should I send my 1040 too. I am a gc holder.

2. Also whats the bank balance my mother should show in her indian bank.

3. my father is not applying for visa . only my mother is applying . he doesn't want to come her right now as he is busy with his business and also for other personal reasons. should she mention that my father is not applying

4. she is retiring in july 2007 . at her work place she has a medical card which states my dad and also my maternal grandmother as her dependents. is it a good thing to carry.

Send Both.

Doesn't matter. She needs to show 'some kind of tie' to India - whether it is a home or bank or children or spouse or a combination there of. Hence, there is no hard-coded rule on how much bank balance she should have.

She will be asked 'why is your husband not applying?' (most probably a definite question for all single applicants). She should say the truth that her husband is not accompanying her for so and so reasons.

Definitely. Any proof that shows her dependents is always a plus. ex: ration card, the medical card at your mother's work place etc.
