Question regarding NOC

Hi,

My mom is working in a govt.of India undertaking office for which she needs to take an NOC. But how many months she should put in NOC. She has her interview on Dec 14th. So can I ask her to put from Dec 23rd to 180 days .
or is there a different format.

She is retiring in july 2007.

Take NOC for whatever duration she really wants to travel to USA.
