Query Related to My Mother-In-laws Passport

Hi,
I have one query related to my mother-in-law's Passport. In the passport the surname is Muthukanagarajan. But in all other document her initial is R.K. Do we need to expand the R.K. in the Surname or can we keep the Surname as Muthukanagarajan? Please explain.

Write the name as per passport in all the visa forms.
