Documents needs to send to Mumbai Consulate 5 days prior to interview

My in-laws interview is scheduled on 18th Dec at Mumbai Consulate.

DO we need to send the original passport before 5 working days to Mumbai Consulate?? Or just a Copy of Passport???


As per VFS, they mentioned:
Mandatory documents to be submitted to the VFS Center 5 working days before an Interview

Valid passport copy.
One photograph as per specification
Original signed form DS-156
Original Form DS-157 only if you are 15 to 55 years of age
Original form DS-158 only if you are applying for F,M or J visa.
Original, valid HDFC Bank visa fee receipt

But as per on this site, it is written to send the Original Passport 5 days prior to Interview??

Looks like VFS has changed the rule recently. When we wrote that text on our web site, there was nothing clearly mentioned on VFS web site and we had clarified by sending them an email.

We have updated our web site accordingly. Just send the passport copy.
