Parents got Visa

My Parents got their visa on Nov 28th.

These were the questions asked.

1)Will both of you go together to US?
yes

2)How many children do you have?
We are 3 children.2 of us are in US and 1 is in India.I told my parents to tell about my brother who is in India first and then mention about the 2 of us in USA.So my dad answered that he has 3 children.1 son is working in India and 1 son & 1 daughter are in US.

3)When are you going to retire?
My dad could not hear the word retire and thought he was asking when are you going to US? so he answered 20th .The officer repeated the question and my mom mentioned this to my dad and then he told him the year when he is going to retire.

Thats it.The officer said you will get your passport in 2 days.We still donot know for how long the visa was issued as they did not get their passport.

My In Laws Got Visa

My In Laws got visa at the second attempt in chennai consulate.They just asked the general questions and see how confidently they answered.They didnt even see any documents.we went thru the immihelp forum and did mockup interviews which really gave them confidence.My advice to everyone is practice,practice and practice you will certainly get it.Thanks immihelp.

Please advise

I want to call my parents to visit US. Should my husband be a sponsor or should I be? I have recently started working full time i.e in 2006 and do not have enough income prior to that to show that i can sponsor. In all my husband is in a better position to show that he can sponsor. our income can be showed as joined. Please advise.
