Hi All,
I have got L1 visa and will be moving to US in december 2006 (along with my wife)
My mother who is widow currently stays with me in India as I am her only son ( I have 2 elder sisters who are married and stay in my hometown). She is housewife and senior citizen (65 years) Once I move to US, she is planning to stay alone in her owned flat.
Can anybody please help me in finding answers to following questions?
1. She is financially well placed, has some property and fixed deposits of few lacs. Should she fill her B2 right away, self-sponsoring or wait for me to go to US and send invitation? (I want to take her as soon as possible with me)
2. If self-sponsoring is not advisable, how many months should I wait to send invitation letter?
3. I read many threads on this forum and found that No.1 reason for rejection is "not finding enough strong ties back in India". In my mom's case what strong ties should I mention in the document/affidavit?
